Conmable's proposal to introduce review in football

If the umpire's decision is not to their liking, the cricketers can take a review. Tennis players can also challenge the umpire's decision. Volleyball, rugby union and rugby league also have this opportunity. This scene may be seen on the football field in the future - the referee's decision is being challenged and the footballers are also taking reviews!

CONMABLE, the South American continental football association, has taken the initiative to introduce reviews in football. Conmable also wants to reform video assistant referees, or VARs. The organization proposed to introduce a timeout in VAR. CONMABLE has sent its proposals to FIFA and football's governing body IFAB on the review and timeout.

CONMEBOL Referencing Committee President Wilson Senme said yesterday about their reform proposal, "We have recently sent some proposals from FIFA, the governing body of world football, and IFAB, the governing body of football. We have proposed that the clock should be stopped during VAR, so you don't have to think about the time anymore.''

Senem also elaborated on what is proposed about reviews, 'We want to make sure that every team can have a certain number of reviews in every match. Just like in other sports like volleyball and tennis.

VAR was introduced to improve the decision making of football referees. VAR was first introduced in professional football in 2016. FIFA introduced VAR in the 2018 World Cup as well. Europe's continental football body UEFA introduced VAR in the Champions League in 2019.

But now the opposite debate is going on about VAR. VAR takes a long time to make a decision, which is the biggest complaint. Apart from that, many questions have been raised about VAR's decision.

VAR technology has now been introduced in almost all European leagues. However, in South America, only the leagues of Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay have this technology.

Senme believes that when VAR is introduced in all countries, football will go further, "When more countries' leagues introduce this technology, football will become more modern." And at that time everyone will be able to adapt more with VAR.'
